The Happy Couple

Having met in medical school, we supported each other through the years of studies and the challenges of residency. We have two amazing rescue dogs from the middle east - Simba and Biscuit who make us smile every day. We enjoy anything outside and going on adventures anywhere the world takes us.
Now its time to start our life together as husband and wife (and Simba and Biscuit)

Brooke Fargo – Maid of Honour
Knowing each other since 2000, Brooke and Julia first met through rowing where they were the fastest, albeit not the most graceful pair partners. There friendship evolved and they have found they both love taking unintentional swims in frigid water and travelling in Ebola outbreaks among other adventures.
Lesley Merkel
Having known each other from their hometowns, their friendship has evolved to include plenty of polar bear swims and adventures in Uganda, Bahrain and New York. Now both doctors – they both enjoy discussing odd cases during their Thursday night Winnipeg get togethers.
Michelle Nicholson
Having Yellow Point Lodge and Brooke Fargo to thank for their friendship over the past 15 years, Michelle and Julia have also enjoyed many a polar bear swim ( I sense a theme of frigid water and friendships here….) and the not often enough get together where both of their senses of humour have provided many good laughs.
Lesley Wiebe
Lesley and Julia met in La Ronge as they shared fancy dinners in Air Ronge and laughs over Lesley’s experiences as a school teacher in Northern Saskatchewan. Their friendship continues and with plans for Tiny House adventures many more laughs will be had.

Micah Brown
Micah comes from the frozen Canadian north and was one of the last remaining residents of Labrador before the white walkers arrived. His passions include drinking water and eating bread, and if he's feeling adventurous you might see him combine the two, but don't get your hopes up. Micah is nocturnal and avoids daylight at all costs. He also is known to sympathize with the Dark side and unions.

Peter Cudmore
Peter is better known as Pete the Treat because this guy's got it all - the looks, the gift of prophecy, and he smells great. Pete the Treat is a highly active dude - when he's not running marathons and saving endangered species, he volunteers as a human statue in a pigeon rescue shelter. Little know fact Pete never cries he removed his own tear ducts case he hates wasting water.
Taigh MacManus
Taigh is paradoxically both a mountain man and a man of the sea. His massive beard automatically qualifies him as a the former, while most of his adult life has been spent traversing the world's oceans. Taigh is on a lifelong quest to seek revenge on the merman who defeated him in a Brazlian Jiu Jitsu fight years ago. He has since learned to protect the neck. Rumour has it he supports climate change by leaving his car running at red lights - he secretly wants to increase the size of the oceans.
Puneet Kapur
The eldest of the Kapur brothers, Puneet is many things to many people, but he is perhaps best known as a prolific writer of Twilight fan fiction. Like the vampiric subjects in his stories, he is an eternal being and so far the only Kapur brother to avoid the effects of aging, via mastery of the temporal dimension. Puneet maintains a perpetual state of readiness and can successfully pilot a plane on just 90 seconds of sleep.
Amit Kapur
Amit is the middle child of the Kapur clan, and like many middle children, he was raised by a family of wolves shortly after birth. As a result, he has excellent survival instincts and direction sense. This type of upbringing does not come without consequence, however, and Amit's free spirit is tempered by a crippling fear of elevators and other enclosed spaces. It is also best not to sneak up on him. He recently created an offspring and there are fears he may be seeking to repopulate the world in his image.
Dilbag Paur
Dilbag, or Dill for short, is undoubtedly the most reliable of the groomsmen assembled here. He is consistently voted least likely to show up on Interpol's most wanted list. Dill is a steady and genuine individual, but don't let his calm demeanor fool you. His right and left hands are registered as deadly weapons and it is quite possible that he has named them Law and Order, respectively. He has never been defeated in mahjong and as such is banned for all the casinos in Macau.
